English language blogs peaked? We think not!

Graham Charlton’s blog post on e-consultancy.com advises that another report has been published forecasting that English Blogs have peaked.
Pranam Kolari looked at ‘ the distribution of “I” in blog posts, one from BlogPulse and the other from Technorati’ and proclaims that there is constant growth – ie no change.
All the comments come up with why this finding is far fetched and that every post written in English doesn’t necessarily have to have the work ‘I’ in it.
We’d like to add that we see growth in number of blogs coming from:
*Many more companies and charities that will take up the challenge and promise of direct communication with stakeholders.
*The tidal wave of upcoming new niche social networking sites that incorporate a blog element.
*G Charlton also mentions the tech savy kids will be future bloggers
*Blogs are being used as websites an easy way to post content to sites - a CMS system.
*The continued involvement of the ‘grey surfers’ in all things on line and thier uptake of online tools, including blogs.
Of course some blogs may not maintain their conversation and will simply never be updated, but we don’t see a drop in the number of new blogs just yet.
