The beauty of social networks is in meeting new people. Sure, most of them will probably not be my best online friends, but social networks are all about social networking, inferring that you're not supposed to communicate only with the ones you truly know. The problem, of course, is that your friend list is turning into a mess. I use <a href="http://www.8hands.com" rel="nofollow">8hands</a> to organize my activity and it's a very helpful tool. it also has a top 8 section, indicating who are the 8 friends with whom I've communicated the most.
