Internet Adspend set to be bigger than Newspaper by 2009

Media Week reports (1/7/08) that by next year, the advertising expenditure forecast (current prices) on internet will be GBP4,055m higher than newspapers with GBP3,950m. Magazines will be GBP1, 476m enabling print to retain their historical chief advertising expenditure lead, just, but not for much longer instincts predict.











Marketing Week (24 Sept 2008) advise that online adspend is slowing for the first time in five years. Media analyst Enders predict that end of 2008 year value will be GBP 3.3bn, a drop to 18.5% growth from original estimates at the start of the year forecast of 28%.
