We’ve just finished developing the beta release of Cogenz. Based on the social media success of del.icio.us, Cogenz, which stands for Collective Intelligence, offers a shared bookmarking facility: a knowledge management tool that sits behind the firewall of an enterprise. The first review by Anu Gupta appears positive. We’ve developed it in .Net on Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
Cogenz has been opened to a private beta and should you wish to participate, please register an account at the beta site. (before registering please make sure you qualify for the private beta test). You will be able to import your del.icio.us tags and join other beta users as if you all worked in the same enterprise.
There are a fair number of organisations that use del.icio.us to bookmark and share their knowledge but from a competitive point of view its not ideal because its out in the public domain. If you are one of those organisations that want to take this powerful concept behind your firewall, please contact our client, as they are willing to set up a beta-silo for your organisation to test behind your firewall.
More information about the features and functionality of Cogenz can be found at the Cogenz Blog.
