We love working on unique digital campaigns that let us flex our creative muscles and our minds – and when it occurs you can’t help but feeling like a kid at Christmas. This is exactly what happened when we met up with Tin Pan Films to talk about a social networking campaign for their new film: Scenes of a Sexual Nature.
It all started when our Marketing lady with an in ‘in’ films met up with director Ed Blum at a film party and heard about his new film. She suggested he contact us to see how we could help generate an online buzz for it by using social networking, blogs and the whole Web 2.0 malarky. Ed arranged for us to go to a screening of the film which we loved – the cast is pretty awesome, Ewan McGregor, Sophie Okonedo, Catherine Tate, Andrew Lincoln – to name a few. The story line follows seven couples in Hampstead Heath exploring love, sex and relationships. Ed managed to raise the money, hire a crew and get the cast on board within 6 weeks and was equally bullish about how he was going to distribute the film.
The campaign is pretty extensive and involves social networking promotion, vodcasting, podcasting and blogging and utilising a team of volunteers to distribute the film to a huge online audience. I will blog about all everything in detail as the campaign starts building…….but a taster is the myspace landing page profile we have built and designed www.myspace.com/scenesofasexualnature and the first character profile – the gorgeous French Sophie soon to follow. The idea is that we launch one character at a time who will interact with the audience.
Maz our Social Networking expert from our sister company rareface has been beavering away, designing profiles and chosing which widgets to use….and hiring a bevy of beauties to present the vodcasts. More of that soon…
